Maternity photoshoots are thoughtfully designed to celebrate your pregnancy and beautifully showcase the pregnant bump as the primary focus. We achieve this within the comfortable, controlled setting of my home studio, which allows for perfect lighting, a variety of backdrops, and complete privacy for a relaxed, artistic experience.


You won't have to worry about what to wear—I provide a client closet filled with an array of beautiful options, including flowing maternity gowns, lace, and sheer fabrics chosen specifically to drape elegantly and create a romantic, timeless look. Whether you prefer fitted clothing to accentuate your shape or the artistic simplicity of bare skin, we'll find the perfect style.

The posing is carefully guided to flatter your form and express the joy and anticipation of motherhood. Furthermore, we encourage partner and family involvement to capture the tender connections of your growing family.

The Goal

I truly want to create artistic portraits that don't just show your pregnant belly, but tell the story of this profound chapter in your life. By focusing on flattering light, elegant posing, and stunning wardrobe choices, the session transforms this temporary stage into cherished, tangible fine art that you and your growing family will look back on for generations.

Wardrobe and Styling Provided

You don't need to bring a thing! We provide a luxurious, curated client closet of flowing maternity gowns, sheer wraps, and beautiful fabrics. Our wardrobe pieces are cleaned and cared for after every use, ensuring they are always fresh and ready for your session.

The Process

We'll have your pre-selected wardrobe options and looks prepared and ready in the studio before your session begins. We'll briefly review the selections upon your arrival to confirm your choices or make any last-minute adjustments. For clients who add professional hair and makeup, I typically use this time to finalize and prepare the first set. Once your glam session is complete, we'll immediately begin shooting, moving seamlessly from one look and set to the next.

Comfort and Care

While the bump is significant, most pregnant people are still relatively comfortable and mobile during this period. Later in pregnancy (especially 35+ weeks), swelling, fatigue, and general discomfort can make posing and moving for a photoshoot more challenging. which is why 29-34 weeks is when Maternity Sessions are captured.

Scheduling

Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 29 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. This is the sweet spot when your bump is beautifully round, but before you reach the final, sometimes more uncomfortable, stage of pregnancy. Once your contract and retainer are received, we will place your session date on our calendar.

WRAP UP

Most Maternity Sessions are anywhere from 1 hour to 1.5 hours once we are done with your shoot I will work on uploading your images for your proofs gallery. A link will be sent out for you to view them and to choose from.
